Global health is undergoing profound transformation. With declining development assistance, shifting domestic priorities across donor countries, and a more complex geopolitical landscape, the systems that have long supported global cooperation are under strain. These disruptions create an opportunity to rethink how the global health architecture can better serve countries and communities in a rapidly changing world.
To help shape this moment, Wellcome commissioned five Regional Dialogues to explore priorities and pathways for reform. The Europe and North America Regional Dialogue, co-led by Panorama Strategy and SEEK Development, brought together leaders from governments, civil society, philanthropy, multilaterals, and academia. Through stakeholder consultations, a joint survey, and an in-person convening, participants explored where the current systems falls short, where reform is most urgent, and how Europe and North America can contribute to a more coherent and equitable future.
The resulting report synthesizes these insights, assesses the current state of the global health architecture, identifies priority areas for reform, and outlines practical pathways for change. As the world reconsiders how to work together for global health, this Dialogue offers a timely, actionable foundation, and a call to build a more sustainable and equitable architecture that supports healthier futures for all.
