In my first 30 days, I’ve seen how the way we work matters just as much as the outcomes we achieve. Care, energy, and commitment shape the culture at Panorama Strategy, showing up in thoughtful collaboration, openness to growth, and a shared sense of purpose.
In my first team meeting, colleagues discussed big-picture business objectives with candor while also making space to check in on one another’s well-being. That balance of focus and care set the rhythm for the weeks that followed. My first month has been full of project kickoffs and coffee chats that left me feeling welcomed into a close-knit team. Those early connections set the tone—and soon I began to see Panorama’s values in action.
Care and Commitment in Action
I’ve been struck by how seamlessly Panorama transitions across content areas with renewed enthusiasm at the start of every initiative. Whether working on a gender equity project one week or shifting into philanthropic strategy the next, the same dedication and care are always present.
That commitment extends beyond client work. During Volunteer Week, we were encouraged to find a local opportunity in our communities, and I was thrilled to see how everyone on our team took part. It showed me that Panorama’s values don’t just live on paper—they guide how we show up in the world.

Collaboration as a Core Strength
One of the most energizing parts of this role has been the chance to work across multiple projects with different teammates. Each collaboration has shown how our varied backgrounds sharpen ideas and tailor informed solutions. The quality of our work is elevated by the diversity of perspectives we bring, and by the way the team takes time to understand one another’s strengths and build upon them collectively.
I’ve been pleased to see how my perspective has already been sought as a new member of the team. Early on, I was encouraged to share feedback on how we were working together—a small but meaningful way to make sure our collaboration worked for everyone. It also showed me that improvement and change are welcomed.
Even in casual conversations, I’ve noticed how curiosity is encouraged. One moment that still makes me laugh came during a team meeting icebreaker: share a highlight of your summer and what it says about your personality. I mentioned biking—only to realize that just minutes earlier, two teammates had been joking about how much they dislike biking. The timing cracked me up, but it also showed me how the team enjoys knowing each other’s many sides and taking a step away from work to build connection more deeply.
Balancing Pace and Perspective
The pace of work here is steady and intentional, even in the face of complexity and rapid change. In my first project ramp-up, teammates took time to walk me through the client’s history and context, inviting my questions along the way. That openness made it easier to contribute meaningfully from the start.
I’ve also seen how the team balances detail with broader context. In a recent planning session, we mapped current global health funding efforts while framing them within the larger focus of systems change. That dual focus—urgency paired with perspective—creates momentum that is both motivating and grounded.
Belonging Through Purpose
As I look ahead, I’m eager to keep deepening my contributions and building on the momentum we’re creating together. From lighthearted moments—like realizing my new appreciation for biking isn’t universal—to tackling complex challenges, my first 30 days have affirmed that purpose runs through both the work and the people. I’m grateful to be part of this community and energized for what’s ahead.
